For my lesson plan I decided to incorporate the E pals. The students have recorded data during the winter and will input different types of weather they observed and also the other states into their graph.
Sounds good! I will be adding a bunch to the podcast script tomorrow as well as my lesson plan. Sorry I couldn't start sooner. I've been working a lot of open to closes at Logan's and haven't had time to catch up, but I'm off tomorrow.
For my lesson I was going to have the students collect data about the weather for a whole week. The students will be able to go outside and observe the weather from outside. This will include measuring temperatures as well as observing the nature around them ex. animals, trees, flowers, plants etc.
For the podcast I can be the one to combine all of ours since you guys have been the ones to start Google Docs and etc on other assignments. I am a bit confused though on the script. Do we need three different scripts that are all 3 to 5 mins and then combine them? I just want to make sure I am understanding every thing correctly.
I believe we write one script that combines all three of our ideas and is 3-5 minutes. I also just saw that it isn't due until June 17th which is a bit of a relief. I think once we write out our own scripts on the google doc, we should then go in and find a way to make them flow together.
Okay so for my lesson plan I did a project my teachers had us do when I was in elementary school but changed a few things on it. I will have the students go outside on a sunny day at the beginning of every season and have them record the shadows of at least four fixed objects such as swings. At the end of the activety they will have four different measurements for each of their object and from here will input their data into Excel and then create a graph to show the changes. This will help them to understand how the seasons change based on the elevation of the sun.
